A 6th Odd Fact Even QG Didn't Know About Herself

DK continues his research on the geneology of my family and just turned up the information this afternoon that one of my direct ancestors was executed for being a witch during the infamous Salem Witch trials in colonial Massachusetts.

Since the latest sensibility on Salem witches is that strong minded, highly capable, independent women were considered witches back then, I'd say you're in good company.

  2. And I believe it was Cotton Mather, the son-in-law (I think) of my ancestor John Cotton who presided over much of the precedings at salem. He later repented of it.

El Jefe suggests Cotton Mather was the grandson of John Cotton and was named for him.

  10. From my modern standpoint, better than having been one of the executors, Cotton or anyone else.

Yes, I am not sure witchery is a bonus, but hey, it is better than what Dad has been hoping for in an ancestor.
