We had our first Jazz Vespers service yesterday. The crowd was unclear on whether to clap or shout Amen during the service.
We had a dinner, then a short concert by the Presbybop Quartet (founded by PCUSA clergy) who had done the music for the service. We were specifically instructed that this was a CONCERT and the musicians WANT to hear our praise.
(They were amazing, by the way. Jazz version of traditional hymns and spirituals and a few original tunes.)
LOL.
ReplyDeleteI was gonna say there could be a "one hand clapping" section. But that just isn't a Presbyterian thing.
LOL! Love it!
ReplyDeleteVery good! LOL.
