An Encouraging Word

This just in from the Department of Houston Religious Oddities, Osteen Watch Bureau.

The Osteens are now selling their very own Bible.

It comes with notes and "encouragement" from Lakewood Church Co-Pastors Joel and Victoria.

Especially the encouragement to buy it. $25 plus tax.

What's that cautionary verse from Revelation? Oh here it is:

Rev 22:18

18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book.

I guess Joel & the missus had better make sure their health coverage is up to date...

I have so many comments swirling in my head, I am just speechless.
Ditto to what has already been said.

I can't believe his smiling face isn't on the cover. Major "ick-factor". But great comic material.

Hmm, the cover of one of his books looks shockingly similar to the cover of Philip Yancey's "Soul Survivor" (at least the copy that I have).

I stay intentionally uninformed about Osteen for a reason. 'Nuff said.
