We interrupt QG's coverage of the Presbyterian Global Fellowship meeting for this special announcement. Please welcome the newest member of the QG family, Beatrice!
Beatrice is a 12 week old white piebald mini dachshund and too cute for words. Portia found her in Brenham, Texas! We all drove up to get her and bring her home. She'd been returned to the breeder by her first family, a septugenarian couple who had never had a dog--never mind a puppy--before and realized it was too much for them. She's just right for us!
QG will return tomorrow with another report from the PGF.

I didn't know dachshunds came in piebald! She's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI knew a dog was in your future!!!! And CUTE doesn't even describe her!!!
ReplyDeleteLike Zorra, I did not know dachshunds came in piebald.
OK, you are too adorable for words.
ReplyDeleteMy humans have realized that I have been here for 10 years this month. I too was rejected by my first owners, who treated me badly and hit me when I was trying to learn those all-important lessons pertaining to life in a house. (To tell the truth, I still don't quite have them down.) They left me at the animal shelter, where the Lovely Daughter found me right before she turned ten.
If Babs is anything like the Lovely Daughter, you have an excellent sleeping arrangement awaiting you. Welcome home!
Tipper (Gannet's Dog)
PS: I was named for an island restaurant. Were you named for the Much Ado character played by Emma Thompson?
Beatrice is adorable. What a sweet puppy face!
ReplyDeleteShe is in for a lovely life for sure.
I'm like Zorra and Cathy, having learned something new about dachshund coloring.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Hooray! How adorable!

ReplyDeleteoh, my gosh, how adorable she is!!!
ReplyDeleteHow is she with bunnies???
ReplyDeleteBeatrice thanks you all for your kind words of welcome--WOOF!
ReplyDeleteGG--She is named for Queen Victoria's youngest daughter, Princess Beatrice, who never left home (even after her marriage) in order to stay with her mother. Babs chose the name because the puppy will stay with Mom and Dad when she gets a job and moves out on her own leaving us with a permanent empty nest.
PCIT--Bunnies, beware!!!
ooh lovely. We had one puppy returned - she ended up now with a Christian family and is so happy.
ReplyDeleteBeatrice will be too :)
She's beautiful! And what a lucky girl she is.
