Busted

It must be some kind of sign unto me.

My notebook with all my various presbytery files burst asunder yesterday as I tried to add yet more papers to it.

It's not repairable.

I need a much bigger one to fit all these papers in. And yes, I do have digital files of most of it on my computer--but I still need hard copies for many meetings.

Yours worriedly,

QG

  2. Time for a sleek, slim, lightweight Apple laptop, young lady! With the new Leopard OS. And the new iLife!

Get thee to an Apple store!

  3. PG--

I HAVE an I-book. You're right, I need to loose the paper.

So today the laptop travels with me!

Have you installed the Leopard OS? I was waiting until the first updates/bug fixes are issued.

  4. As our GP says, when all else fails, kill a tree for Jesus.

  5. I was going to get my Leopard on Friday, but now that you mention it, I may wait for just the same reasons. With over 300 new goodies, there's bound to be some issues.

    Now I"m drooling over iPhones.

  6. Yikes! Here's a good one: one time I set my very full notebook of important Presbytery Committee papers on the roof of my car whilst I strapped my (then) baby boy into his carseat. Yup, you guessed it: I drove away with the full notebook still on the roof. Still not sure in what lucky corner of SW Portland those papers finally landed, but they sure were gone by the time I got home.

  7. I wonder how Jesus dealt with paperwork? Probably made Judas deal with it.

  8. Having recently disposed of four years worth of COM paperwork, I feel your pain.

  9. Don't worry - it's a generation thing. Us "older" folks just can't relinguish paper. Admit it, and divide your file into different subjects - each will expand to fill the available space.
