Take The Quiz!

So you read or heard the news about the recent Pew Forum's report about the sad state of the average church-goer's religious knowledge and shook your head in dismay.

Wonder how you would have fared on the test? Go here to take the quiz and see for yourself. No fair taking it AFTER reading the full report because that gives away some of the answers.

Share your score in the comments! I made 100. I don't think it was tricky at all. You?

Woohoo, I aced it :-D

of COURSE you did!

I aced it, but I did think that the Jonathan Edwards question wasn't really fair. You can know a lot about Christianity and not know that. I, of course, am a groupie. So, not a problem for me. :)

I remember learning about Jonathan Edwards and his "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" in American History in a Texas public high school back in the '60's.

Apparently that's no longer included in the text!

I scored 100%, although I admit I kind of guessed on the Jonathan Edwards question...I must have heard something about it in the past that made me pick him!

I'm a college graduate, grew up in an American Baptist church, attend a Presbyterian church now...I don't consider myself particularly knowledge about religious matters, but I thought the test was easy and straightfoward!

100% but we did it as a family activity and dissected several of the questions. Like the one about Joseph Smith - they don't say at what point in his life.

Darn, missed the last one and picked Finney ... why brain freeze ;).

What's interesting in the results by question is how many people didn't know about Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt.

What name were they looking for, Charlton Heston ??

Come through with flying colors at 100 percent!
Can't believe the results of religions that missed the 'easy' ones. I figured Jonathan Edwards might throw some folks. I confess I didn't hear about him til Seminary!

I got them all, but I was with Steve on the Joseph Smith question. I wondered if they were being tricky. What religion did he found might have been a better question.

I think Jonathan Edwards still gets taught in American History/American Literature classes. There are just so many names in those classes, it's hard to keep them straight.

Piece. Of. Cake.

Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God. Who could forget it?

100% from this evangelical Christian and recovering Roman Catholic, who grew up in Illinois where Jos. Smith was lynched.
