Edouard came onshore earlier and a bit farther east than expected. All we're seeing here in Sugar Land is a light rain, which we desperately need. The local TV stations are still All Edouard All The Time despite the fact that all those disaster declarations were (ahem) somewhat premature. And we're grateful for that!
Since Babs has the day off, we're thinking about spending the afternoon at the movies. Maybe Mamma Mia? Although El Jefe is staying home to work, he refuses to come with us saying that "its shameful to go to the movies on a workday." Whatever.

Whew... and I'm glad this one isn't so severe for those who were directly in its path.
yeah, well ... Eduard is right over Baytown now. We still have power ... but there has been heavy rain continuously since before 6 am .. the pool is overflowing but no flooding here. We have had pretty good wind gusts, too. I'm glad I decided to stay home today, and we definitely need to stay off the roads.
Go see "Mama Mia" and tell El Jefe he should go too because it will be work for him to watch it!
Yay for Edouard passin' by.
Sorry, Wendy, Edouard came to your doorstep!
We lucked out here in Sugar Land.
Glad things are okay. I'm hoping no storms will pop up while we're away to WA State.
Did you see "Mama Mia?" I thought it was great, and other than having to endure my continued dancing once we got home, "oldwarrior" found it endurable! He even purchased me the soundtrack (Broadway cast) and so the dancing continues -- even with my bad knee and cane!
No, Babs bagged out on me so we didn't get to see it!
I want a video of you dancing to the music with your cane--would put a stop to all talk of frozen chosen stated clerks!!!!
