Sally at RevGals asks us to list 5 things you will NOT be doing for Christmas.
This sure fits me this year, so here goes:
I will NOT be setting up a Christmas tree and decorating it.
I will NOT be planning and preparing a big Christmas meal for 20 or more.
I will NOT be trying to set up a lot of outdoor Christmas lights.
I will NOT be filling stockings.
I will NOT be buying presents for extended family members.
Here are 5 things I AM doing:
I am watching the snow fall, but not stick yet, in Sugar Land!!!
I made donations to Central Asia Institute on behalf of extended family members.
I am attending a Christmas concert the Diva is singing in tomorrow.
Babs, Portia and I are attending a Lessons and Carols service Sunday.
I am enjoying less stress, more Advent!
How about you? What are you NOT doing this year for Christmas?

I've got to do my blogs before evening...wondering how you're getting out of all those things! I am doing some of them, (not dinner for 20 though!) but like you I'm quite looking forward to musical and worship opportunities -- a folk concert tonight, an "old-time radio show" theater event tomorrow, and ecumenical Lessons and Carols on Sunday.
I'm getting out of a lot of my usual Christmas Busy-ness because, for a number of reasons, we'll only have 4 of us this year for Christmas.
After entertaining 18 for Thanksgiving and having several days of house guests, I'm actually ok with it.
I find I can't let go of the stockings. I enjoy filling them, and (truthfully) nothing pleases me more than opening teeny little presents stuffed in a stocking. We will probably give up non-stocking gifts before stockings!
With so many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren-and some are needy- I find that giving them money and letting them buy the gifts is the good thing to do-all though I do like buying gifts.
This year will be different, one of my daughters-she has six children too, is graduating from College-so my home will be where the party is-on the 20th-that will be so fun. And I might buy presents for those two great granddaughters!
