Last night while Babs and I were watching the "Potomac Primaries" returns, we saw our first campaign ad for Hillary Clinton. First one we've ever seen down here. The polls in Maryland hadn't closed yet because time was extended by court order due to bad weather.
No, we haven't seen an Obama ad yet.
It's ON in Texas, friends. And just when I thought our primary was too late (March 4) to be important for either party. Dang, it will be all Hillary all the time as long as her funds hold up.

I've been advocating change as a third party voter for years. But somewhere over the past half year I drank the Obama Kool-Aid and we'll be heartily disillusioned if Clinton(s) gets the nod.
That being said, although I'm voting/caucusing for O here, the polls and trends seem to indicate that as a state we'll go for Hillary because of the demographics of Texas.
Jackson and I were having this same discussion while watching last night's returns. (Who would've thought we would be interested in the DC and Maryland primaries? Seriously?)
I think you are right in your predictions, but I think it will be close between Clinton and Obama.
We haven't seen a single campaing ad out here in the boonies. Not one...

I saw my first one of each on DFW channel this morning. And then I saw them repeatedly in a short time span.
I have not seen ads for either of them yet.
I am betting that she will not do well here.
Rumor is Obama is opening a local office here in the Panhandle. It's going to be interesting. If I believed in momentum, I'd say Obama's got it.
I'm disappointed we apparently will not be getting a Democratic debate in Houston after all; it's going to be in Austin, of course. I'm predicting an Obama win in the primary, but like Rach,I suspect it will be close.
I have seen Obama ads each of the last two mornings during the local news. I saw my first Hillary ad this morning. Both candidates' ads address health care reform.
Just a few weeks ago, I commented to my husband how glad I am that we don't have to endure a lot of political advertising down here. I was in NY last election cycle and it was non-stop on tv there! Guess I spoke too soon, though I haven't seen nearly as many ads as I anticipated after Super Tuesday.

We have a March 4 primary, too. Thanks for reminding me that I need to find out how to get an absentee ballot.
I must say that when Obama's supporters chant "Yes, we can", I've been wondering "can what?" Apparently the answer is "yes we can beat the Clintons."

My 13 yo saw the "Yes we can" video on YouTube. She said, "I'm sorry, that just makes me think of Bob the Builder."
