- The internet went out for a couple of hours. Not weather related, but frustrating for El Jefe who was trying to work.
- Beatrice and Olivia have had TWO walks already. We're stir-crazy and nothing has really happened yet.
- El Jefe is bringing the last piece of furniture off the patio and sweeping it up(?). Nervous energy methinks.
- I'm posting again. Yes, nervous energy
- Cloud cover has moved in. There is a steady breeze with occasional brief gusts of wind and the occasional drizzle.

Gingerbean says *woof* to the girls.
I am so glad you are keeping us posted. It is sort of like birthing a baby...without the happy ending huh?
Thanks for keeping us up-dated nervous energy or not. We are praying for you and all.
Do what I did: watch a movie.
("I'm Not There". For true Dylan fans--like me--only.)
This is like waiting for a heart attack to happen... The kids are having fun playing outside -- the breeze has made it at least bearable out there. Wish I could get a big slice of Grace Cake right now. Of course with my nervous energy, I'm eating everything else I can get my hands on.
Glad I'm not the only one in this crazy "waiting for the other shoe" mode. with all the lawn furniture off the deck - along with the small potted plants -- and the grill sitting in the great room, I'm as ready as I'm going to be. 24 hour weather is not a help....I'm thinking a movie is calling my name. Stay safe one and all...
Movie's a good idea...Made the chocolate version of the Grace Cake...'Nuff to feed an army! Didn't have buttermilk...soured 2% milk w/a bit of vinegar...it worked...added some plain yohurt, too...dee-lish!
Much rain here today in 'the land of pleasant living'...Maryland...coming off of the Great Lakes...some flooding of low-lying areas...No wind, tho...

We tried to make a half-size Grace Cake, but apparently didn't bake it long enough. At least the edges were delicious! Thinking of you all this afternoon and tonight.
We're getting 30-mph winds over here at the outer bands 300 miles away; it must be some storm. Stay hunkered!
