God be thanked. Our power is now restored, after a scary night. The house is not damaged. We lost part of a back fence to a downed tree and a downspout. That's all. Hooray!
We and all our family and friends got through it fine. Beatrice and Olivia were frightened, but are slowly acting more like themselves.

Many thanks for all your thoughts and prayers--it was very comforting to know you had our backs!

Glad to hear the update! Thanks!
Thanking God you and yours are OK. The wind, to me, is the most frightening thing about hurricanes.
To the Old Marine: When I drink a Speyside Single Malt Scotch, I add just a wee splash of spring water...NO rocks...to 'open' the 'nose' and to release the flavors...Really good sipped while eating warm freshly baked chocolate chip cookies...

Thank you Jesus.
I'm glad you all are ok.
Praise the Lord.
Glad to hear you're all fine.
Watching CNN and the Weather Channel tells me that you may be some of the luckier residents of that area.
Downtown has buildings with blown out windows, and over 1.5 million are looking at a week or two without power.
Prayers will be raised for those affected today and definitely on Sunday at worship.
So glad to hear that you are okay! Still praying for those affected by Ike...
Power back that fast? You must be living right!
PTL! What a devastating storm. Over to the east of you we were told to prepare for heavy winds and rains and power outages . . . none.
My prayers are with all of those who are without power and whose homes and places of employment were damaged by the winds, wind-driven water, heavy rains and power failures. I pray that the country will reach out to you all in generousity as they did to New Orelans after the levee breaks and LA after Katrina and Rita.
So relieved to hear you are all right! Wonderboy and I were looking at how huge the storm was this morning and saw the eye was just above you. Scary stuff. Happy for good news!
You may want a little more wine this evening, too. Hope you rest well tonight.
Hooray! Us too. A piece of the back fence, the peach tree, and most of the pecan crop were the only casualties. We are certainly blessed.
So glad to hear from you!
Power back on! Wonderful!
Still praying.
Great to hear you are all safe. thank you, Jesus.
